除了回收重用材料如 ISCC+ 認証的材料外，我們也從其他環保角度出發，開發出一種新世代性的”厭氧可生物降解”鏡片產品 – DYO Lenses。DYO Lenses 是一種可生物降解的塑料，其降解是由細菌、真菌和藻類等天然微生物在厭氧環境(堆肥環境、垃圾堆填區和生物反應器)下的作用引起。
根據天祥綠葉認證中，在ASTM D5511(ISO 15985)標準下，
要求在45天內生物降解率達到5%；
DYO Lenses 經過測試驗證後，45 天內可以達到 7.51% 。
這對於塑料鏡片來說是一個很好的結果。值得注意的是，生物降解一旦開始了就會繼續直到完成整個生物降解過程，從而令塑料佔據垃圾堆填區空間的時間跨度從數百年縮短到幾年。
DYO Lenses 與傳統塑料鏡片沒有顯著的物理特性不同。與醋酸纖維框架、傳統塑料或TR注塑框架、金屬框架和其他框架都具有良好的兼容性。保質期和儲存要求與傳統塑料鏡片相同。

DYO Lenses is a biodegradable plastic in which the degradation results from the action of naturally- occurring micro-organisms such as bacteria, fungi, and algae.in different environments, like composting environments, landfill, and Bioreactor.
ASTM D5511 test standard (equivalent to ISO 15985), a biodegradability rate of 5% is required within 45 days;

It is a good result for a plastic product. It is important to note that biodegradation will begin and will continue leading to significant biodegradation, shortening the time span the plastic would have occupied the landfill space from hundreds of years to several years.
DYO Lenses are no significant physical characteristics that are different from traditional plastic lenses. Good compatibility with Acetate frame, traditional plastic / TR injection frame, metal frame, and other frames.Same shelf life and storage requirement as other traditional plastic lenses.
